The tour
In Bellinzona you walk up to Castelgrande, one of the town’s three UNESCO-listed castles, with its walls and towers above the old town. Then Lugano: Piazza della Riforma, Via Nassa and the lakefront, with a stop at a chocolate shop in the centre to taste Swiss chocolate.
In the afternoon you reach Swissminiatur, on the lake in Melide: more than a hundred scale models of Swiss landmarks, trains and mountains. Children love it, and parents usually enjoy it just as much. ISOFIX child seats are available on request.

Good to know
- You cross the Swiss border: every passenger, children included, needs a valid travel document.
- Swissminiatur is open from mid-March to early November. In the other months the day includes more time in Bellinzona and Lugano.
- Switzerland uses Swiss francs; cards are accepted almost everywhere.
